Materials and skills shortages look to continue into the New Year

After the industry has reported slight increases in recent months after a slower than predicted August. K Design & Build saw its busiest month of the year in November regarding enquiries, at least one for every working day of the month! While business seems to continue to rise, unfortunately the overall picture remains bleak for the industry as it faces continued price increases with materials and skills shortages continuing to bite, says the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) - https://www.fmb.org.uk/resource/materials-and-skills-shortages-continue-to-dampen-construction-s-recovery.html

As we approach the hectic festive season, we continue to strive to hit our deadlines with current clients along with keeping up with new inbound enquiries and getting quotes out to prospective new clients, all while dealing with the endless delays and rescheduling of both materials and meetings. Let’s hope that Covid has less of a part to play in this going into 2022.
